I found an adjustable nitrous kit online for about $350, it was adjustable from 75-150hp. I don't really want to run too much in the way of power adders like NO2 or forced induction, I do have 150k on the clock. . . I'm thinking some headers, cutout, better exhaust than the Flowmaster 80 I have now, CAI, and some other performance parts that are due for replacement anyway, like some bigger plug wires, hotter plugs, synthetic fluids, maybe the rear end I mentioned above, and I'll call it quits. I just want the car to run even with a stock LS1, so the LS1 guys can stop being so darned cocky all the time. lol

      Turbo's are very drivable.

Don't make boost when you're not tromping on it, it's perfect.

My car is running like a champ and im getting the best MPG i've ever gotten with this little motor, and I have more power then ever.

But if you're looking at powerdyne kits then that means you already have money blowing out of your ass, so might as well get a turbo.

Money is rather scarce. . . I was looking at used s/c kits on ebay. . . about $1500 for the whole bolt-on kit. A turbo kit would be pretty cool, hell, I'd love to rebuild this engine into a 383 stroker running twin turbos, but I know that'll never happen . . . lol

you can get right around 300 at the wheels and still keep it a daily driver, throw on some long tubes a hot cam and a tune and you should be doing all right. maybe a little port and polish. that car will be moving pretty good with those mods

how many miles do you have on it? the powerdyne kit is fun, but i dont reccommend any type of blower on a stock lt1, they arent designed for boost. youd be better off with spray, its safer

that n20 kit your talking about may only be 350 but the other stuff like fuel pump, injectors, window switch and such add up quick.
The powerdyne's are ok for very mild setups and boost levels. If your try to make any power at all it will have belt issues.
As for the Hotcam. I would stay away from that. There are other cam options that will make better power and be more drivable

I have about 150k on it now. No problems whatsoever. I'm going to do some simple things like intake, exhaust, plugs, wires, synthetic fluids, and headers. Right now it's got a K&N filter and Flowmaster exhaust. That's it.

Very smart! i'd be careful with 150K on the clock cuz blown motor=no fun

First mods should be a cylinder hone and new rings

I can't afford to tear the motor down at all, it's my DD. The Camaro is not driveable right now, and the Formy is pretty much the strongest running car my family owns right now. It's running a little rough, so it's not exactly impressing me at the moment, but after I tune it up I think I'll really be freaking out about how much power it will gain. . . I'm not looking to do a rebuild at all, just add a little power without using any kind of forced induction or giggle gas, so I'm thinking that I'll wait to make the real power until I blow it up.

That's why I said NO giggle gas. . . I'm not running anything other than bolt ons, it's staying N/A, and I think 300rwhp is a reasonable goal for my DD.

heads, cam swap, cold air intake, underdrive pulley, bigger throttle body, intake manifold (edelbrock's is cute...yeah, i said it, cute), longtubes, off road y-pipe, some performance oriented exhaust (borla, hooker, magnaflow, etc.), high flow cats if you want to have cats, better ignition system, nice spark plugs/wires, high flow fuel pump, elbow (trick flow's looks pretty sweet, 1LE), and some high# injectors, pcmforless/madz28 tune. that should get the crank power you're looking for and the most you'll have to do is take the top half of the motor apart without going inside.

to deliver it to the ground but keep decent drive ability, i would go with a more mild torque converter upgrade, like a TCI 2800 stall. then get an aluminum driveshaft, and 3.73's. anything higher than 3.73's will really hurt bad when you get on the highway for gas, and if you do a head and cam swap, youll already be in a pinch on those gas prices, so keep it mild.

                            correct me if im wrong.
