jack up the rear and spin the rear tires. count tire revolutions vs. drive shaft revolutionsThe Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

Now I know
Well I finally got the car up on a lift and pulled the cover.
The lube was not in very good condition. Looked like it had NEVER been changed. Surprisingly there was basically no metal in the fluid that I could feel so not much wear. I marked the gears with paint and counted teeth, but then felt stupid cause I noticed the ring gear had the factory stamping on it. Its a GM 3.73 41/11 gearset, and non-posi.
I was kinda thinkin it would be cool to have 4.11's but honestly I think I will be happier with these 3.73 gears. 4.11's are pretty steep for a 3rd gen thats not built up.
Now that I know the gears are 3.73's I can start pulling my other differential apart thats posi and get it ready to swap the 3.73's into it.

With all the expressway driving I do, I am really glad I don't have 3.73 in my daily Bird.
