I went ahead and bought the Moroso 6 quart pan. It does have the "trap door thingies" even at $160

Got a high volume pump, and remembered the shaft too

Lol, I think "trap door thingies" should be the offical name now.

Cool, Pick up a windage tray and crank scraper and you'll be all set

I am using the exact same thing on my 383.
I still had to make a custom Y-Pipe though, let me know how it fits up.

Ok, cool....my dad is a master tech so hopefully we can sneak it into the dealership on the weekend for the swap, and take care of any pipe bending/fabricating there.

                  That is cool.
It has to be far better than my prototype Y-Pipe I had to make using a series of cutting and welding. Access to a pipe bender would have made my life a heck of a lot easier.

Yeah I need a new one myself, the one the muffler shop made is crap, plus its all dinged up.

I'm just trying to pick out a timing set right now, and I'm trying to figure out the difference between these 2 sets that COMP has on their site:

                            2100 Chevy Magnum Timing Set 65-400, '55-91 (Except w/ factory roller), V6 90° 200,229,262, '78-86 $33.94

                            2136 Chevy Magnum Timing Set, 305-350 '87-90 w/ factory roller, (4.3) 262, '87-92 w/ factory roller $120.8

So I take it that the first one is for non-roller blocks? I have a block with roller provisions, but it came with a flat tappet....I guess that's why I'm confused. I assume I need the more expensive one, lol. But anyways, I have a COMP magnum cam, so it has to be one of these.

As for my heads....I'm ready to order them. Check this out:

Seems like an awesome deal, and they have a lot of the other stuff I need.
