looks nice... im still waiting on my machine work on my block to get finnished before i can get mine all done, not sure the finnal bore size yet...

the only thing when going to a 383 or bigger small block is you need the heads to breath well same as intake, plenty of oil nice high volume pump, and dont get skimmpy on the cam... a cam you would think is outright crazy for a normall small block will end up being just mild in a stroker motor... i went through 3 cams before i got it right.

but for the money if you have to rebuild in the end you might as well stroke it, the power you gain for the money is crazy... just be careful with all that new torque... you will be happy when you loose traction instead of break parts from it...lol

I went with the Patriot 195cc heads.....From what I've read it's a pretty balanced runner size.

The cam is a Comp Magnum, with 224/224 duration and .525 lift. The engine if pretty closely matched part-wise to Golen Engine's 460hp 383 crate build.

I was hesitant to go with the Patriot heads due to the smaller 64cc chambers, but I finally found the specs on my KB pistons....they have a 7cc recess which is more than I expected. So, it will be close to 11:1 static which is manageable with aluminum heads.

I was planning on getting a modified LT1 intake for my L98 block from lt1intake.com, but the guy is backordered for like 8 weeks.....and there's no guarantee it can even be done then.

Oh well, maybe this is my excuse to go all out and get a Miniram The Stealthram looks like a good buy, but I guess you can't run a strut tower brace with it due to clearance issues...hmmm.

I might know where you can get one if my friend took it off his GTA?
              I'll have to check!

Ok, definitely keep me posted It would be optimal if I got one with the 1206 port size, since that is what the patriot heads are set up for.

you could always try the holley commander setup too ive seen then both at the same price, the TBI and MPI about 1,500 new even less used then your only limited by whatever carb intake you find and it comes with all the tuning software... ive talked to the LT1intake guy too sounds like a good idea and a great price just dont know if i can wait on him.. wonder if anyone else out there modifies the lt1intake?

As far as I know, Scott at lt1intake is the only person that "commercially" does the conversion. I've never done anything like that, nor do I have the tools to rig it.....otherwise I would try.

There's a used Miniram up on ebay right now, so that's an option at the moment too.
