Poly Trans Mount

This is another one of those things where individual cars seem to have their own preferences. I tried an LS1 rubber mount because of certain people's opinions on the topic and it was absolutely horrible in my car. It was almost to the point i was missing gears because the trans was jumping around so much. For the most part i agree with James though and use rubber mounts wherever i can, I only use poly if rubber proves not to be rigid enough.
In hindsight though, the fact my trans jumped around so much may have been due to my worn out stock suspension in the back that i had at the time... one problem amplifying another. With NVH and suspension you really have to take a systems approach to selecting individual components.Last edited by JoeliusZ28; December 10th, 2013, 01:21 PM.-Joel

Yep, I made it a point to use rubber mounts wherever I can too since it's ultimately a street car. I threw a poly under the trans because it was laying around. Been thinking about throwing a rubber underneath it just to see what happens. I know these cars are somewhat meant to be raw, but I'm at the point where I'm kinda growing to like refined.
