  • Urgent 4l60e issue

I just got the car back on the ground. Put it in reverse and it tries to move forward, neutral is the same way. With my scan tool it always says it is in 3rd gear, key on engine off. Gear select always says P/N.

Sounds like you need to adjust the gear select cable that attaches to the transmission.

I didn't mess with the cable, put the shifter and trans both in park and it lines up and pops right on. The connecter is clicked in, I took the PCM harness out, clear says pins 28-30 are the range controls. http://shbox.com/1/1995_pcm_conn_c.jpg I don't have the b+ on the red or pink wire.

I did too when I dropped the trans out but it still needed to be readjusted. I had to have my dad in the car shifting it while I was underneath the car making sure the cable was pushing the detent into the right position.

Removed the transmission, installed nitrous system, installed Mallory 685, and replaced transmission. Could it be something in the transmission sensor wise? Other opinions I have gotten were a cross leak causing the forward clutches to stay engaged, also that the builder could have used the wrong gaskets for the valve body. Also the builder put in an adjustable pressure control solenoid, if he did not adjust correctly could this have any effect? I had my dad sit in the car and put it through PRNDD21, you can hear it "clunk" into each one. I feel that not having battery voltage where it says I should may be a issue. Where does that clear PCM connector receive it's power source from?

Yep, and a new SS3600 stall put in as well. Also, I don't know how much I like the builder. This was a warrantied rebuild after I had no 3/4 gear within 100 miles of his last one. I am going to go drain it and pull the pan.

Well I found a pretty significant issue with the transmission. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Fixed the builders mistake, put the pan on, filled it up..... And guess what, it moves.
