if you want to help your 4l60e out without breaking the bank a good start would be to replace the sunshell gear with the "beast", and a raybestos Z-Pac for the 3-4 clutch is almost a must, get a dual cage input sprag, an HD2 shift kit would be recommended but not a need to have item with mild HP, just boost the line pressure at the EPC, maybe a couple washers in the accumulators for firmer shifts. I would also highly recommend a sonnax 3rd accumulator check valve capsule. if you need anymore help or info on parts needed shoot me a PMASE Certified Automatic Transmission Mechanic
I would rather push a Chevy than drive a Ford
Remember folks stop lights timed for 35mph are also timed for 70mph.

don't go richmond. I absolutely hated the richmond 3.73 in my 98z. Richmond is a very hard gear. although the howling got better after i went to the track and beat on it some. THe 3.73 part is just a overkill in the A4. your over 3000 rpm on the freeway just poring gas out your tailpipe.
if i had to do that car all over again i would have went motive or american axle 3.55
