Thats what happens when you put a long bolt in a hole where a short bolt is supposed to go. Rookie mistake I made when I was exhausted, laying on my back, sweating, in poor light last week at about midnight. 100% my fault. I own up to it. First time ever pulling an fbody trans.

Just when was I supposed to clean the bellhousing? That wasn't in my write up.

Maybe a trans shop could repair it

We pulled it last night, and we were supposed to take it to a certain...shall we say "less then reputable" automatic transmission builder...and what a shock. He bailed last second saying he can't do it. So I'm taking it to a buddy of mine who owns a Fab shop.

all better. Got the trans re-installed in about 40 mins on my lunch break (first time taking it out took about 6 hours). Just gotta button up driveshaft/exhaust/connections after work...SHOULD be driving it today...but who knows. I obviously suck at this.
