My offer would be in the $150-175 area, not trying to slap you in the face but that's what I feel comfortable with.

No offense taken. But thats not happening. Used LS cams for an easy 100 more than that. Sorry.

        Good luck!

Didn't think you would My z06 cam, LS2 springs, spring tool, and truck MAF cost me $140 last time around...we'll see what I can do that again In reality I'd like to be around $300-325 range for aftermarket cam/springs or $150 for GM stuff.

Gen III and newer cams run about $350-400 new. I just saw a used 2002 Z06 cam sell for $175 the other day

I'm thinking I'll pull the Z06 cam/springs from the 5.3 and use them in the 6.0 and put the 6.0 stuff in the 5.3.

I pulled the LQ4 (6.0) cam tonight and found this though...seems to be a somewhat common ordeal?? Has me a bit worried though.

Timing chain also had more slop than I would have expected. I'll look for a LS2 timing chain set.

2005 LS2 pistons and rods - worth upgrading to stop piston slap? $135

Still waiting to hear back from my friends if they can coat the LQ4 pistons soon. I know they have a shit ton of bullets to coat right now for the government

Not nearly as often. LS2's went to a floating piston/rod setup and the pistons got a coating on the skirts. The coating is usually a screen printed MolyKote D-10. I got my pistons coated for free (MolyKote 7409, similar stuff - sprayed on though) but I had had to wait a bit for them so why not? If it works, great, if it doesn't, oh well

I'm going to see if I can get some polishing tape to clean up the rod journals a bit before putting the pistons in. I can't hang a fingernail on them but they don't look very pretty.
