  • What's that noise?

So I guess nothing ever works right the first time you do it...lol! I can only laugh b/c it makes me so mad.

Anyways, got my SPEC stg 3 clutch installed with new slave cylinder. Car seems to drive and shift fine, but when I press the pedal down to engage the clutch it starts making a noise, not sure how to explain the sound but I'm sure someone has ran into this problem b4.

I have my assumptions but obviously have no idea what it really is. Pilot bearing? Maybe needed to use the shim on the slave cylinder? Pedal needs adjusting? The ceramic on the clutch needs time to break in? IDK! I need to know if I should stop driving it like this b/c I don't want to break anything again...

Sounds like a throw out bearing making noise.

Why would the throw out bearing be making noise? It's new...maybe I put the wrong one on? My slave came with two throw out bearings, one was a bit smaller. I used the bigger one b/c it came with that one on it.

Why does everything about these cars have to be such a PITA?!!! I guess I'm going to have to take it to the shop down the street and see if they have any ideas...I just don't feel like taking it all back apart, nor do I want to pay someone to do it, lol!
