I wouldn't waste too much time chasing the seller.....with the risks in buying used, you have to assume there are going to be the occasional less than satisfactory "experience". Look on the brightside, it'll be better than before.

Nor have I, but it seems there have been a lot of complaints on various forums as of late with moser axles. In my opinion moser's quality is not what it used to be.

Oh, I am done. Just wanted to make sure he knew I knew he got me.

Did hear from seller after I pm'd him.

Thats very odd. I wonder if it was the cause of the housing problem or a result of it? I drove the car with the rearend from gainesville florida all the way home and never noticed a wobble in the rearend. How noticeable is it?
              Doug

I can't even drive the car. I had noticed a vibration from day one, kept assuming tires. Had them balanced 3 different times. Then I decided to follow my wife and watch the rear. Under load the wobble is even more pronounced. If I would of continued driving this way it would of enlarged the end again. I ran it yesterday with the rims off and watch the axle flange wobble back and forth. I would bet 100% this is what caused the failure of the end housing. I am accepting tax deductible donations for axle replacement. I am pulling them out today.

Hey Larry...how was the axle shipped to you? Is it possible it got bent during shipping?

It was on a large skid, delivered freight to my work. It was banded down securely on skid. I don't think it was damaged during shipment, cause a bent axle would explain why that end housing was enlarged and had to be replaced..

                    Probably a bent axle flange.

Possible also. Axles are pulled and out at shop for inspection.
