Long arm to a T/A relocation bracket. You do not want the T/A mounted to the tranny..Originally posted by Gaspo View Postya like i said, track only a few times, but i dd the car. so long arm to a different trans brace?

I have never had an issue with wheel hop.. Neither on launch or braking and I run the Spohn short T/A.. Might be different with a M6, don't know.. I love my short T/A!Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostShort arms tend to induce wheel hop under braking I hear.sigpic

ya it might be different with transmissions. but i want to be able to corner and stuff too. your car is setup for straight drag racing.98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

i want the control arms to be parallel with the ground right?Originally posted by 1BADAIR View Postshort may cause wheel hop under heavy braking/cornerning do the relocation of instant center. control arm angle also plays a roll in this98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

There are a lot of thoughts and theories of what works and what doesn't.Originally posted by Gaspo View Posti want the control arms to be parallel with the ground right?
With a long arm you can probably get away with more angle on them than an short arm. It depends what the car want's. More anti-squat might help it plant the tires from a roll - but might not work from a stop.2000 Formula

for auto cross, road race yes. or pretty close. for drag racing some lca angle adds antisquat which helps plant the tires. BUTTT the same antisquat and instant center can try to unload the rear tires during heavy braking. parallel would be the best place to start.Originally posted by Gaspo View Posti want the control arms to be parallel with the ground right?
The best torque arm for road racing is a Decoupled unit(basically a floating front mount. Plants the tires hard on accel . decouples on decel
brb ii'll find one.

its hard to tell, but it looks like thats connected to the transmission? whats the price on that thing? i dont wanna be spending too much money right now.. how much is the decoupled design going to help me over the standard, locked position torque arm? if i look under my car right now, my lower control arms should be parallel.. i'm going to look tomorrow, because i think i remember the front of the car side is higher then the axle side..98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

front higher is normally good. you will probably be ok but if you have issues try to even them a littleOriginally posted by Gaspo View Postits hard to tell, but it looks like thats connected to the transmission? whats the price on that thing? i dont wanna be spending too much money right now.. how much is the decoupled design going to help me over the standard, locked position torque arm? if i look under my car right now, my lower control arms should be parallel.. i'm going to look tomorrow, because i think i remember the front of the car side is higher then the axle side..
