so i have 95 trans am and my abs inop light is always on and i hate the ugly abs spider under the hood anyway ive never even locked up the brakes. is it posible 2 just remove it ?

probably. your brakes may not bleed right afterwards in my experience of taking abs off vehicles.

why not just fix the problem causing the light to come on? Removing it will be a hassle if you don't know what you're doing.

Check your third brake light, make sure both bulbs (just two IIRC) are working. There should be three sensors, a pump, and a control module...pretty simple system really.

Yeah if you remove the ABS module the "brake" light will be on as well. I deleted my ABS and am in the process of getting the light to go out. It's done simply by grounding the corresponding wire.

Been there done that. A lot easier t tapping a wire and running it to ground than pulling the dash.

98 - are hard wired to the cluster. 99+ are on the buss and not easy to turn off

I would just hate to cut the wrong wire.

I also stay as far away from my BCM as possible.

I removed the abs and made all new brake lines when I built my car and put the aerospace drag brakes on all 4's. My lines go from my master right down through the inner fender and are hidden from there on out. My pass front brake line runs under my core support so none of the brake lines need to be disconnected to drop the engine/trans/cradle

That is an awesome idea, might have to borrow that one from you. I need to see your car in person.

You probably don't want to remove the ABS module and HCU. If your ABS inop light is on could be related to the ignition module or Opti- Spark.
