  • had a question about getting a clutch kit

well basically since my car got destroyed, i bought a 95 z 6 speed body, so i decided what the heck, i might as well get the t56 and all that. but i need help in deciding the best clutch kit to get need suggestions. its very unlikely i will end up at the track, and my car is gonna be daily driven. i mean i might get on it every once in awhile but who doesnt. anyways let me know what you think, thanks guys! also...i know this is alittle off topic, but i am looking for a shifter, das boot, and a clutch pedal and brake pedal with linkage lol, seems this car is missing said objects haha.

LS7 clutch for a street driven car. Or do the LT1 T56's have a different input shaft?

    Used to own a Firebird.

        Ls7 clutch will not work.

I put a perfection clutch in mine. It's not a popular choice around here because it's a parts store clutch but it's cheap, smooth, and has a good warranty. I had a RAM and lightweight flywheel when I bought the car and hated it.

yea ive found to be better off with the stock flywheel and autozone clutch kit rather then a lightweight flywheel and some redicoulsey priced kit

never going to the track and never going to see a sticky tire, go with stock. best clutch for you and lightest on the wallet

Agreed, stock replacement is your best option imo

As stated unless you plan on putting down some power and hard launches just go stock.
