    shift points

    Well I have a 2004r in my 83 and am going to be using a stock OD shifter, cause my mega shifter is incomplete I found out, so my question is
    should the shift points on the shifter mechanism be the same for it as a 700 r4?

    I have the stock shift linkage and I also have 2 aftermarket shifter cables, if the shift points are the same for the 200 and 700 I will use the stock linkage otherwise I can use an aftermarket cable..

    I am not trying to confuse so if you need clarification please post..Any help would be great

    I would assume that the travel will be the same. I am assuming this is what you are talking about. I know my megashifter had adjustment to get the cable exactly where it needed to be. ie shifter in park, trans in park etc.

      yes thanks, I texted Mike Ridings and he answered my question in 3.5 seconds.. thanks MIKE and Justin..

      yeah I just found out that my cover plate is from a camaro and hence different so I had to make a change in plans..
