Doing some research for my spring break project here. Now as some of you know, my car's not exactly "stock" any more but I wouldn't call it that heavily modified either...heads are untouched 243's. However, it did generate enough power to get my 9k mile clutch to slip anywhere above 4500rpms leaving me to search for a new clutch setup for the coming year.
Pretty set on a monster level 3 with a tick adjustable master right now, but I'm not sure which flywheel would be best for my application. Yes, reducing drivetrain weight will help it rev quite a bit quicker, but then again I'll have to launch at a higher rpm. I don't really get out to the strip, ever, and I use my car as a part-time daily driver during the summer. Plan on running some 315 street tires on the back for now, adjustable TA and 8.8" rear to come later in the summer (or next year depending on funding).
So what are the pros and cons of each?
Mods: El Torro cam (230/230 .612/.591 111+2), stock 243's, all bolt-ons (soon to have a fast 92/92 setup)
btw I'm gonna be pretty pissed if I can't get it over 400whp
