I believe the trans wiring internally is different, 93-94 and same 95 is unique to itself and 96-97 are the same. I'm not 100% but I think this is similar to somebody elses problem.

if it just "revs up" in overdrive, you probably have your 3-4 apply piston in the servo installed backwards.

I know forsure I am missing the connector that plugs into the brake switch for the lock up...The servo???Not againcode 84 is output driver module...does that have anything to do with having the 3-4 piston in back asswards??

no idea if that code would mean that or not. thats an easy fix though if thats the case.

not having a brake switch hooked up wont prevent lockup, you just wont be able to unlock the converter when you hit the brakes. That is not giving you a code.

If you dont have OD, then it is proably the servo issue or a slipping 3-4 clutch pack.

Everytime my car fries the 3-4 pack i can never get overdrive, the reason is, because the PCM will never see enough REAL speed to make the shift into OD.

and yes, if your wiring is jacked up your trans will be fubar in no time

So Ryan did you ever figure out why your trans is burning up the 3-4 pack? I think my dad's Z did the same thing because he said it downshifted into 3rd one day and just hit the limiter, then he didn't have 3rd anymore.

I just rechecked all the wiring and it is all correct, someone mentioned that it could be a servo problem?that is next on the list to check. If anyone is bored tonite and they feel like helping solve the problem,I will buy the beer and pizza...any help is appreciated.

Do you not have 4th at all, or do you not have lock up? In the engine bay, fuse "engine sensors", if this is bad, you will not have lock up.
