A little update...I just finished seting the new gears up. Was a little unhappy about the runout on the ring gear. No matter what I did, I could not get under .004 runout. Anyways, that played a little havoc in my backlash settings. The pattern I think came out decent though. I'll post pics later.
I mounted the center section in and turned my attention to the disc brake set-up. I really didn't want to run the disc/calipers that came on it because the rotor is non-vented and the caliper is cast iron. Unfortunatley the housing ends are for the big ford tapered bearings so the LS1 backing plates I have won't fit. So I have come up with a plan for a hybrid brake set-up....I think it's going to work out quite well....I hope
