I was doing some research before the accident about upgrading brakes before the accident. I thought since so many guys are focused on the "go" maybe we should spend some thought covering ways to improve the "stop" in our cars. I had nearly 5 car lengths between me and Nick and I have antilock brakes. With me jamming on them, I should have stopped in time... Nope. Well here may be the culprit...
Check the bit about the stock 93-97 brakes w/o the w87 package.

Me and Nick also found the bit about manual vs. auto transmissions interesting.
I would also like to invite anyone who has questions about how to improve their brakes or any other question about this often overlooked issue in this thread. Thanks!

P.S. I was on my way to the meet to seal the deal on a new set of tailight covers and a '97 T/A Rear end with complete brakes. I want to make my car safer before I put any more money into it. Would the rear end help me when braking?
