Went to Mid Michigan this afternoon since I couldn't make it down to the M&G... wasn't real happy. My best about a month and a half ago was 12.28@118.70. Today my best was 12.66@113 and change. My brand new rear end is giving me fits. First of all, the posi sucks ass. On nearly every launch, it would spin the passenger side tire and kill my 60' time. There's no reason it should allow spin that easy. I guess I need to get an airbag in there, but I still don't think it should break loose so easily. I couldn't get under a 1.96 60' time on ET Street radials. Then after I headed home, my ring and pinion was making a LOT more noise than when I got it fixed last time. Guess I get to go back to DTS again to get it fixed. I'm pretty upset that I spent $2500 on a rearend that has given me nothing but trouble since I bought it. I'm glad they'll stand behind their product, but having to drive an hour each way and waste my day off getting this thing fixed is absurd. I will add - the DA today was about 2400' and there was a 25 MPH headwind, so that would effect my ET/MPH some, but dropping 5 MPH was kind of disheartening.

well DTS needs to pick up on their end and fix that rear if it has issues, the most concerning thing to me is that you only cut a 1.9 60' on ET streets, that is absolutely horrible, the headwind and DA were sure to set you back as well but something is wrong with your short times.Doing less with more

Yeah, so do I. I just can't believe I've had this much trouble with it. I figured I would best my quickest 60' time by at least .2 and I did nothing but match it. I'll probably order an airbag for it tomorrow and go back to the track Wednesday and see if that helps me any.

Update: Called DTS this morning and they think the posi may be defective. So they said they'd either install a new posi or a locker for free, whatever one I wanted. I'll just go with a posi since lockers don't work real well in a stick car.

As long as the posi is gonna be installed properly I would stick with it, hopefully they get this issue resolved soon, we need pics and video of the nest track event.Doing less with more

I'm running the ET Street Radials. 21 PSI. I just ordered a set of airbags from Summit and got $20 off my order with free Summit bucks.
I'm only going to be using one, however. Not sure if I want to sell the extra or keep it as a spare. Hopefully this thing will be fixed by Weds. and I can take it to the track to see what it's really capable of. If anyone wants to meet up with me there (Mid Michigan), that would be really cool.
I'd appreciate the extra set of eyes.

It's a 95% street driven car. I have to make some concessions. I know it won't be perfect, but I should be able to cut 1.7 60' times with it. I can't afford to have two different sets of rims and tires for street and strip. If I wanted to run bias ply tires, I would have just set the car up with a spool, gutted it, and made it undrivable on the street. Everyone has different goals for their car, mine is to drive it to the track on radials, run 11's on motor, and drive it home. I know it's possible, I have seen multiple people do it over on LS1Tech with similar combinations to mine.
