S60 and Driveshaft are in! *PICS*

Well, I finally got my car back yesterday after my friend Al installed my S60 and driveshaft for me in his shop. He also took the time to cut my lower control arm relocation brackets off my old housing and weld them on the new axle, which saved me from having to buy new ones. So far, I love it - except for the fact that I am getting whine from about 35-55 MPH when the gears are "floating" at a steady speed. Not a big deal, as I called DTS and they said to bring it down to them on Weds and they're going to install a new gearset in there for free. That's service! I also had a pair of M/T ET Street radials put on today so I can put the power down to the track when I finally go again. Just waiting on my clutch from Monster to arrive and after the break in, 11's here I come!

Nope, has about a 1" gap between the cover and the bar. It's a stock stamped steel cover, I didn't really care if I had some awesome looking rear cover on it. I know that a girdle cover will hit though.

Congrats, I'm sure break in miles are gonna be hard to do when you just wanna rip it up. This car should have been into the 11s a long time ago, get it there.

Are you planning to launch at 6k on those tires? Depending on which monster clutch you are buying it might be tough to get the results you want.

From my experience, using a clutch that doesn't slip and a tire that doesn't give makes it tricky to launch. I recently switched to bias ply tires and so far my experience has been much better with them (this only applies to manual transmission cars, the MT ET Street Radials work awesome for autos)

I'm getting a level 3 Monster clutch. I told them how my car was set up and what tires I was running and that is what they recommended. You can still slip this clutch and street drive it as a daily driver - only when you go to a level 4 does it start becoming less streetable. I got it with a lighter flywheel so it would have less propensity to spin the tires and if it does, it'll recover quicker. I'm hoping I can launch at 6K, but if not, i'll just be happy knocking a couple tenths off my 60' time.

When are you installing the clutch? I have already decided that my next clutch will be a monster...I just don't know which stage yet.
