  • Urgent: i really need help with my rear end

    ok so i blew the posi and all that good stuff in my camaro so i am wondering if i could swap my rear end with this one:

    and if thats not possible my car has traction control and i was told that i can not swap out mine for one that does not have traction control is this true?

        Good find for the price - the emergency brake cables are different between drum and disc brakes and I see the cables are included on that rear end. It was my understanding that 93-02 were all interchangable, you might just have an extra plug that's not used or something? But don't quote me on that, as I'm really not sure. I guess I lucked out with the rear end I bought since it only had ABS and not traction control.

        Edit: Realized you said that you had traction control, not that the rear end has traction control. I really don't know how that works, but sorry to hear that yours has TC.

                Our cars have a 7.5 ring gear.

                That rear don't look like a 4th gen rear but I could be wrong.
                I have not seen a rear with that shield/cover on it before.

                    that first one is a 4 channel TC axle
                    I wish there was a better pic of the brakes. looks like ls1 brakes to me though

                        I've been looking for a site to reference the part #
                        for the ad but I can't find anything.

                        What I did find had letters in front of it and his don't

                            in the second pic you can see the wheel speed sensor in the backing plate. 3 channel)non T/C only has that sensor in the top above the ring gear. 4 channel t/c have a sensor in each backing plate
