I have a moser 12 bolt but have discussed a trade/sale with scott about moving to a 9 inch.

Hey Larry (1BADAIR), how is your rear set up right now? Maybe you might want to sell it outright?

        Between a 9", a S60 and a 12 bolt....a 12 bolt would be the last one I would choose....stick or auto.

True, but there are guys in the 10's on stock 10 bolts with automatics. Not saying they'll last long, but it does happen. If I had an auto and only planned on 10's, I'd go with a 12 bolt for ease of use and efficiency.

I've been working with D&R driveline in grandville. Looks like I can pick up a moser rear with 3 channel abs and a tru trac posi unit for under $2,200. This is with a used iron center section and my choice of gears. I'm still debating on a nodular , or aluminum center section.

I'm going to look at that Midwest unit now too. By the time you add lower control arm brackets, a drain plug, torque arm I'm sure I'll spend $2,700 anyway.

I just want to spend the money locally if I can.

I already have a Chris Alston chassisworks tunnel mount torque arm, so no rearend/torque arm combinations for me.

I would go with either a Moser 12 bolt or a Midwest Fab9 if I were you Larry. Both seem to be good choices

Does he own a shop, or does he do it out of his garage?

I was also curious if you had any issues with the torque arm hitting the floor pans? I've heard that one issue with the moser 9inch is the torque arm bracket location causes it to rub on the floor pan.

most of the current TA's have two mount locations. most aftermarket axles require you to use the inner holes(some need to be trimmed to fit)
