I think ive finally decided this is whats next for the car, cheapest way for that "seat of the pants" kind of change im looking for, while still being able to DD the car comfortably.

Im not sure which brands are good for the V6, I think im going for about a 3k stall, but this has to be TOTALLY streetable, I drive this thing EVERYDAY in the summer, with lots of highway miles, so I cant be loosing out to much in the fuel economy department. Those are the only requirements, have at it, jump on in with ANY suggestions you have, I have no real torq coverter/trans experience so ANY info is greatly appreciated.

Yank or Mike Ridings is who I would recommend, but its definatly not a cheap mod and it will decrease your city mpg a few.

yea as long as you get a lock-up converter you will retain your highway mileage. you supposed to set your stall 200rpm less than you peak tq rpm. so i forget were its at i think it says in the owner manual. b/c you car is mostly stock right?

To be streetable with a stock v-6, I wouldn't go over 2600 rpm stall. You'll loose about 1 - 1.5 miles per gallon. Perfromance always cost something.

I guess it all depends on what you have planned for the car..

What do I have planned for it? Not much else, this should about rap it, I drive this thing everyday except in the winter. Usually upwards of 50miles a day, so I like the good mileage I get now. I just want a little more get up and go!

id do nitrous then, cheapest way to give you some giddyup whenever you want it. That or you could always buy my SC kit in the for sale section, thatll give you plenty of giddyup all the time. I really dont think you should get a stall on a nearly stock v6, especially if its your DD. Just seems like a waste to me without much gain when your on the street.

How would it be a waste? I bet that thing would launch out on a lot of more powerful cars on the street with a converter the way it sits now.

well if he wants to get a very noticable stall that would hurt streetability, and even if it bursts out quick thats about it on a stock v6. Nitrous would be a cheap fix to add some ponys that woudl be noticable even after takeoff..

Yeah I guess I just dont really care about streetablity because thats all in the mind of the beholder. I plan to run a 4000-4400 Stall in my DD

Get ahold of Mike Ridings, hands down makes some of the most bad ass trans/trans parts/converters around. you'de be suprised if you knew some of the cars floating around with his parts

remember he has a 3.8l and it takes a different converter than you ls1/v8 guys. Not every company offers one.

like I have told you before, 3k is where it is at for your 3.8l

Mike makes his own converters. as in cuts them open, does his magic and then welds them back together...besides i think he's a GN guy too, so i think he'd know atleast something about a V6
