Sounds fair, the only problem is I'll end up wanting to buy one that week. The one I have now works, but it doesn't perform anymore.

The tranny is from an LT1 based car.
I am seeing ram and spec on here.

That is a nice clutch pic by the way, at least you admit to driving it rough.

I am ok with some chatter, and a heavier clutch pedal.
I just want to make sure its going to last, and not explode after a few "spirited" driving ventures

My clutch just went out and I'm goin with the SPEC stg 2. Hopefully I'm happy with it, not pushin too much hp so don't need anything too crazy. Plus it was pretty cheap, and between that and all the other things getting replaced in my tranny I can't afford to get anything bigger.

If you're referring to my post, it was $386 shipped. And handles up to 530 ft/lbs torque with a 3800 psi pressure plate.

I have a Center Force Dual Friction in mine, works great.

I have also had a SPEC CLutch with the Kevlar friction disk, love that too till I blew my rear main

my 3 was actually easier to press than the stock clutch.

nope mine has the springs. i didnt think those springs had anything to do with that... i thought they were for absorbing sudden negative driveline pressure.

the springs help the ease of the pedal engagement, but from what ive heard thats somewhat of the problem spec has with their clutches besides the LS1 shim problem larry stated previously. When their clutches blow alot of times they blow the springs out of the hubs

If you get the spec 3 I would get the 3+. it holds more and is more drivable.
the unsprung hubs(like in the 4) are a pain on the street
