I agree. They seem to always go even after theyve been worked on. Sorry to hear this and good luck with the next one

I dont like auto's but when mine needed to be rebuilt & knew i was doing the labor myself I had it built and even though my engine is basically new pulled the rear main seal for a new one... also through in a 2600 stall, nothin to big, just a few hundred higher then the 1900 stock. I paid a little less then like 200 bucks... personally im happy with my NON electronic trans.

wow something is up for sure, you have a bolt-on car and this is the 3rd rebuild. Is that performabuild vacuum modulated or no? Maybe your line pressure is set to full at all times? Somethings funky.

if you like shifting then get a manual valve body on an automatic and win roadcourse and strip. or just shift your electric auto and hope for no problems.

anyways... i was really looking into getting one built from performabuilt.. how old was it? were you manually shifting it? did he offer any reason why it went out..?

How long of a warranty do they give you? They should increase the warranty if you keep going through all this trouble. Especially if the tranny is built for more abuse than your motor is throwing at it.

i do a lot of manually shifting, guess i better quit. is that why im going through them? i didnt think it would hurt it. its got a year warranty, no matter what you do to it. vaccuum modulated, no idea what you are saying, so im unsure. line pressure is stock as far as i know, and that was a question he asked me. anyways the trans is out and will be on its way back today. he said a 5 day turn around, so i guess i wait.

heres a link to the tranny i have
