but to get the axles out there is 2 c washers in there. push the tires in reach in roll it slowly and you should see a washer that will slide out once that is out you can pull the axles free.

With the rear supported remove you tires.

Remove your rear breaks unless you have drums then pull the drums off.
This will exspose the axel hub.

In the pic is the pin you need to remove and there is a small screw that holds that pin in. You need to rotate the diff till you can get at the screw that holds the pin in and remove it.
This will let the pin fall out.

Now if you push in both your axels you should hear a clink sound, it's o.k. that's the C-clips falling off.
If you don't hear a clink the you will have to pull the C-clips off then you can pull both axels out.
Now don't rotate the gears after you pull the pin out or your spider gears will fall out and you will have a mess.
Best thing is to putthe pin back in with the screw after the axels are removed so nothing falls apart

Now you have 4 bolts that hold the diff in, 2 on each side.
Remove them and teh diff will fall right out.
YOu will have shims on each side, don't mess them up!!
That is how your diff is spaced to your pinion.

If you do a new pinion and gear set you will have to reshim it 9 times out of 10.
            Hope this helps.

it was 4 bolts, and then these big C clips came off, that kind hold it all in i think, but its still all in held by the shaft

The C clips are on the end of the axle shafts.. you'll need to push the axles in to get em out..
