Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

The Y87 Cars had an upgraded rear axle but if I were you I would just buy a used one off a Z28 or TA. Depending on what happens this week, I might have one you could buy. But right now that is a last resort.
Youll def wanna go atleast 12 bolt on this one, if not stronger. the 10 bolt in the birds stock are worthless for anything with drag radials on it, lol.
Mods: Ram Air Intake (CAI)
K&N Filter Polished Throttle Body and MAF Sensor
De-screened MAF Sensor Tightened Throttle Body Cable
Performance Button Setting Changed for Torque 160* HypterTech Thermo
Water Wetter New Distributor, Plugs, Wires
New Water Pump LT4 Knock Sensor Flowmaster 40 Series Muffler TB AirFoil
if you're going to spend money on a rear end go with one of those choices, or an s60
and they are all junk!
...the car/engine bay picture in your sig is actually finished, it's someone who ForceFed98 knows on ls1tech....
ever said that was my set up. just that is the same set up i am going with. frount mount s475 .
Also i would liketo bolt in a for 9 inch but at this point i no that i am not going to be making much power. maybe 550rwhp. at best. I still have a ton of work to do and i want to get the thing runing. i have seen 9 inch kits for my car but they are like 2k .
the s60 is a dana axle i belvie, not positive tho, but a good dana rear end is bulletproof.

and what is a s60?
550 rwhp is too much for a 10 bolt assuming you have traction.
Im worried abotu breaking mine with no more than 300 rwhp
So you are telling me that. i i werh to buy richmound gears and pinon kit with some moser axles . that the rear 10bolt 7.5 would not hold 750rwhp?
plan B: 9inch ford
I would like to use a 9inch ford. I have to buy a custom driveshaft so y not?
1.
Well I was thinking a used 9inch ford . rebuild it and have it cut down to size.
2. buy a new housing , and tub kit. have it fabed to fit my car. then buy new axles and a used center section.
3. company with a prefad housing?
GM gears are the strongest. Getting richmond gears would be a downgrade if it changed strength at all.
your best bet is to go with a 9" ford made for an f-body. The torque arm mount is not something that can be "fabbed" ...believe me ive looked into it, not happening.
Yep no 10 bolt will hold that much power.....ever. Hell they have a hard time holding 400rwhp in a manual car. As for rear ends look at spending at least $2200 but its an absolute must for that kind of power. Drive-line solutions has exactly what your looking for.
