Wonder if its worth the trouble to go backwards and rip everything out and start over? Wont be able to be in garage today, so would need to get it done outside..hopefully before the rain.. But cant start until a few more hours when Trisha gets out of class.

Does that alpine unit have an internal amplifier?
I know some of the alpines require an external amp to be hooked up to power the speakers.

Did you have an amp hooked up to the head unit to power the speakers the old green Camaro?

Make sure the pink/black stripe wire isn't hooked to anything or is getting grounded somehow.

If any of the RCA's touched a voltage source it can fry the signal processor

            found it!

Like I said I tested every speaker before finishing eveything and it all worked. So I retraced my steps. Took off the kick panel and noticed I screw right into the middle of the wiring..in two different spots. Cut the wire, stripped, wired up no music. Went to play with setting and viola I have sound!..

Going to be careful when I put it all back together..if I have no sound again. I will sell this car for $100...not literally

Hahaha I really wish I would have posted - when you said you "got it all back together" and it didn't work anymore I was thinking you probably pulled a wire along the kickpanel and broke it but I figured that would be silly so I kept my mouth shut

I used to manage an install shop. Did quite a few f-bodies in my day. If you have any questions, shoot me a PM and i'll be happy to help.
