Im going to be running 60watt max 4x6 and 500 watt max 6x9s should i wire them to an amp? The radio prolly only puts out 50w per speaker and if so how would i do it?

It would be louder and sound better if you went to an amp. You would want to get a four channel amplifier. I'm assuming you have an aftermarket head unit? If not, you're going to want to get one. And to be able to use front and rear fade on the head unit (a nice feature) you'll need one with two pairs of RCA outputs, one for front, and one for rear. It'll likely have a sub out at that point as well, which you can run to a sub amp.

amp is always better for sound quality! Get a nice 4 channel Alpine V-Power amp some of the best interior speaker amps on the market. But any 4 channel amp will work just fine just check the power levels.

Not always... You can buy a cheap amp and it can be a distortion box only making your sound worse.
Power levels mean squat if its not clean.
You can get a 4000W Pyramid amp for $69.99 Never mind that the THD is 5%

Usually a good amplifier will cost you $1.00 per watt. There are deals out there for better amps, but wattage isn't the whole story.
A good clean amp (THD 0.05%) will run you around $200-300.
An average amp (THD 0.1%) will run you around $100-300.
I would try it without the amplifier first. If it doesn't have enough power or headroom, then move up to a clean amp.

Crutchfield.com has how tos and reccommendations. You are going to have to bridge your amps (if you already have one for subs) and you should probably run crossovers (itll sound better anyway.) If i was you id go to a local store and buy an amp and see if you get what you are going for, then return that ****er and buy it for half as much online. That way you can also try out different brands. Who knows, with your speakers a sony xplode amp might do what you need instead of shelling out some dough for a JL.
