I wound up doing it that way, i kept the bose amps and the speakers sound good, still a little buzzing noise when the volume is at 0 idk why the old ones did it too

I know this is an old thread but, sounds like you are getting the buzzing from the ignition,I know it sounds weird but its true.I had the same problem back in the day with my 79 Buick Regal, you need to ad an inline filter or upgrade to better spark plug wires.By the way are you still using your factory Bose amp?

To be completly honest with you I found the problem.
I am embarassed about it, but the grounds for the amps were nasty.
One of the eyelets was rusted and completely disconnected.
No I wound up removing the amps.

Yup ground wires will let you know when they are not hooked up good enough
