My pair of 10" MTX's weigh quite a bit too. . I had a pair of Pyle Audio Red Labels, 12", and they weighed more than the box they were mounted in! lol

you just arnt seeing the good 6x9's then... mine arnt competition huge but the magnet alone is 80oz pretty decent for how cheep they are...and titanium cones... 3 way speaker... for a new comapny im very impressed with what i have used so far... www.bossaudio.com i use the IQ speakers and they have also great deals on there monitors and dvd setups with crystal clear pictures.... i dont think you could beat them for the price atleast with what experiance i have had with them so far... they usually keep them in stock at autozone....Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. well so far all i have used is there IQ speakers and a 7.5 flip down montior with in dash dvd player to match and the monitor is like 80 bucks seriously and the dvd player was only like 75 bucks... but really compared to the other high end brand stuff i have used it is just as good if not better just because of the price.. i know they make head units double din dvd cd cassette players and then they have like the basic cd mp3 players for decent prices i just cant believe the power they can handle and put out... i know alot of companies claim numbers way higher than they can do... but the IQ speakers i had a 200watt head unit running into a 100 watt EQ then into a 400watt amp running to just the 4 speakers they never cracked once... the tweeters and everything crisp and the 6x9's alone made it sound as if i had subs in the car with that much power running to them...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. 6x9's all suck not one sounds good. Make a plate with some 6.5's or some 8's and 5's. Pioneer is a low end car audio company always has been always will be (and I am a pioneer dealer) Speakers are a very subjective thing, and type of music plays a huge role. What I advise is take your favorite cd's down to the local store and listen to a few speakers pick the one you like best and buy from me

They are actually a very good quality for the money (they get their speakers from the same company that makes pioneer and sony's stuff0Originally posted by meissenI thought I heard someone saying Boss was a pretty good brand
