Agree with popping the hood, I hate it when all I get are pics of people's car with the hood opened. Totally ruins the picture. I've actually asked people to close their hoods so I can get a decent pic of the car.

i agree with open and closed dont matter. Some show some go but not all show please. Nobody want to see a cavalier that runs 18's with rims, tv's, body kit, stickers etc. Cause then all i think is who cares its still a cavalier. Now if there is a blower or turbo on there then ill take a peak maybe.00 ws6 vert a4 ( mods in garage )

its a pic of the coil pack/ valve covers. i guess they cost around 200 bills.
its kinda pricy when you figure in the price of FRC's or even a nice set of painted valve covers but just wanted to add to the topic of DRESS UP OF A LS1

I like to see whats under the hood. As someone earlier said, we all know what these cars look like with the hoods closed... at shows, show off whats under the hood that rarely gets shown. I myself am big on underhood appearance and have some cool stuff about finished ATM to show at the M&G for underhood appearance. I'm with Larry, GO and SHOW!sigpic

wow those LS1 fake valve cover things are pretty ugly IMO.
Fourth gens just seem to be all the same... LS1 LS1 LS1 LS1 LS1 yada.. some are clean and they stand out (like Greg's car) but to me, a thirdgen has more persona under the hood. You can find almost any kinda mill under a thirdgen bonnet, not just your run of the mill LS1.

That's why I'd rather look at a bunch of custom thirdgens, more variety.Originally posted by GETGONE View PostCuz stock 3rd gen motors sucked so everyone ripped them out and replaced them with something that actually made power. No reason to replace an LS1 since it already kicks ass and puts out well over 300HP in stock form!
Regardless, IMO the best LS1 "dressup" mods are the clear lid, cool/nicely done nitrous setups and painted intakes

Yea, relocating the coil-packs is nice but a pain to do. Nicely polished/painted valvecovers with painted coil packs looks pretty slick, or else some custom FRC's to hide all that!sigpic
