To an extent I agree with popping the hood part.. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But I put alot of work into the looks under the hood, as well, so what''s wrong with sharing?Originally posted by KuruptWS6spd View PostLike Wade said, mirrors are worthless. But I'm really not a fan of poppin' the hood at a car show. I think the best I car looks is just sitting there parked. Poppin' the hood just takes away from Fbodies beautiful linessigpic

i agree with tom, popping the hood does take away from the body lines (at least mine because i love the look of my hood) but if you havent seen under the hood of larrys car, bite your tongue. maybe the mirrors on someone elses hood looked ghetto, but not larrys. i would have had that prejudice thought myself, until i saw his. just wait, lol.sigpic

Well I never order polished parts so I can save money and live 1.5mi down a dirt road. For me to keep it clean to the point I'd want to pop the hood I'd be detailing the engine bay everytime I drive the car...and its my DD!!!!2005 Yamaha R6

Got ya.. Mine is not a DD, maybe see 3-4 thousand miles this summer at best. Not driven in rain or snow.. If I lived on a dirt road(did for 18 years) I wouldn't try to keep it clean either..Originally posted by KuruptWS6spd View PostWell I never order polished parts so I can save money and live 1.5mi down a dirt road. And we all know what an LS1 in a 98+ Camaro looks like...... Your LS1 is an exceptionOriginally posted by WMCCjames View PostIf a car's hood in not open at a car show, I don't even take time to look at the car. To me, 50% of what defines a car is what's sitting under the hood. Besides, we all know what these cars look like with the hood down.2005 Yamaha R6

I'll show you the goods alright..... I understand where you are coming from James but being a DD it's not something I beleive to be a necessity. Plus I try to leave every thing looking stock by ordering black powdercoating products. I'm more performance then flash. Besides rims and tint my cars always look stock.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostDoesn't matter to me, show me the goods
Seen to many wanna be fast cars out there. Besides, it shows the level of commitment when you see how clean a motor is kept, even if it is stock.2005 Yamaha R6
