  • Hood or Bumper Poll?

It is becoming apparent to me that I will not have enough resources at the moment to complete my mods for spring. I will be sending my car in for paint around Easter. So, before then which should I invest in? A Ram Air Ws6 hood or a Trans Am Front Bumper? These will end up costing about the same amount of cash to acquire. Take into considerations such as ease of matching paint and looks of the car. Thanks!

    Ram Air Hood...

I think the bumper will make the most dramatic improvement.

Never liked the bumper on the 93-97 TA... looks like a huge chunk of styrofoam that they just cut two circles out of and called it a day. Go with the hood.

Neither and put the stock hatch back on! I like the stealth look of the V6/Formulas. I'd still like my 95 Firebird back for a daily driver. If you're set on one or the other, I'd go with the bumper since the stock TA's had the same hood as you which I still like better than the ram air hoods on those cars.

I'm reiterating (sp?) that I think the hood is the best choice. Your bumper looks like it's in good shape and doesn't need to be repainted. The hood, obviously, will need to be painted. Since you're short on cash, you should go with the new hood because either way you have to paint "a hood." By going with the hood, you're saving the cost of repainting the bumper.

Do you have the ground effects and rear bumper? The T/A bumper won't look right without the complete ground effect package. If you're going with a hood keep in mind that if it's not a factory hood you're going to put more money into making it smooth and fit right. If its factory it shouldn't cost as much.

So basically I think you should go with the hood and a set of lowering springs.

it already looks bad ass as it is... keep the front end like a v6 and the rear end like a t/a... thats exactly what i'd do because thats what looks best. do you have just the trans am spoiler on the rear or do you have the t/a rear bumper? if not do the rear bumper leave the rest alone.
