You'd want to look into SEM. SEM is the dying product. The first step that you spray on opens the pores of the vinyl/plastic and then the second step dyes the paint into the vinyl/plastic.

Alot of shops use SEM. And i believe it is fairly cheap too, the paint i listed is a little expensive, but it has the advantage of being able to paint plastics and vinyls in metallic. Good luck man. It's your car, and it's what makes you happy.

Loookin good dude, i didnt think i would like the yellow at all either, but it looks alright in that other pic.

You did about the same thing I did to prep and paint them. They do take a long time and special care, but i think it looks great.

I sanded mine down with a really course grit first to get the texture out of it, and worked my way up to the 1000 grit. I had i think 2 coats of primer on it to make sure that the texture was out and it was smoooth. Painted the silver- which is the same exact paint that i painted my car with, so it matches perfectly. I did like 3-4 coats of this too, and carefully because with all the angles of the plastic, its easy to get runs. and then sprayed 3 coats of clear.

For prep too i washed them down with soap and water to make sure all the crap and sand was off it.
