Has anyone dyed their carpet and if so how did it come out?

I heard of people doing it, however it will fade back, and wear off....best thing to do with carpet is replace it with the color you want. OR find a good used set of carpet and for plastic and vinyl I would do the following.

'91 Camaro Modded, LSx, House of Kolor Intense White, lowered, GS chrome 18" wheels, 14" Brembo CTS-V on all 4 corners, LS rear end, FP suspension components

I used the dye when my wife got a pepsi stain on the grey carpet in a rented minivan. Covered the stains perfectly. Don't know about doing an entire carpet, though.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

I was reading on other site's that it worked fine. But was wondering if anyone on here has had personal experience with it.

          Tried it.

The carpet left in the back of a garbage truck.

i actually used it on mine. It was black but showing just a hint of fading so I sprayed it around the lighter spots and it looks new. Been about 5 months now and still holding up. If you do use the spray, use it lightly....you don't want to soak it or it may not look right. I just used several light coats while letting each application dry for about 30 minutes or so....Good luck!
            Thanks,
            Stephen
