  • ws6 needs body shop! ( paint needed)

i have no damage on car... i stored car for winter in a portable garage.. and wind blew it into my car scratched it badly (its tired down now also put cardboard up all around it) but i figure car could use a paint job as it is... alot of chips and scratches.... i live near ann arbor "SE Michigan" area.. looking for a very reputable shop even if i have to drive quite a ways...

just an exterior repaint ie macco style? or you looking for a R&R (remove & reinstall) repaint ?

personally when I do repaints I take off bumper covers, weather stripping, remove lights, and dont remove doors, hoods or hatchs

well front bumper/hood/fenders/mirrors/sail-bar-roof/doors/quarter pannels/ rear bumper/ highrise hatch/ and rocker pannels "trim" all could use paint...
i am unsure how much of a difference it would make if they needed to paint my doorjams and such but they are in great condition such as under hood and under hatch ect... just all around open spots of car could use paint..

looking for someone to strip paint, primer, and paint base coat clear coat im bad at body work... i can take it apart and such but its winter would like to avoid doing that

If body work is NOT needed, I would not strip it down to bare metal and reprime. Your just taking more money out your pocket. Besides the best primer is the "e-coat" that is done from the factory. You could have someone sand down the clear, spray a sealer coat, new base color and a 3 or 4 coats of clear and wetsand smooth and buff out and be done.

If body work is needed, fix a small dent or deep scratch, then I could see using a epoxy primer in that area to give you the same protection as the factory "e-coat"

all in all you really dont want to break the factory rust barrier as much as possible unless needed.
