I assume the white strips in the back are for backup lights? Do they put out alot of light? I'd love to hide a couple strips on the back of my car to throw out some serious light for backing up cause I can't see crap now.

yea Im sure there are some ways you can do that, I take a look at the extra tails I have and see what I can come up with
'91 Camaro Modded, LSx, House of Kolor Intense White, lowered, GS chrome 18" wheels, 14" Brembo CTS-V on all 4 corners, LS rear end, FP suspension components

Just bought those ugly LED tails off Ebay. I love the way LED tail-lights look when lit up but these housings are so odd looking...

But with the black-outs on I get the best of both worlds.

Yup, just a couple of flexable white LED strips from Autozone, wired into the reverse light sockets. The light output is insanely bright. A huge improvment over the stock bulbs. Just stuck them to the top of the berger panel in that crack between the trunk lid and the berger. You'd never know they were there during the day.

I think we need a write up on this Grant, I've never seen this mod before. Something that shows actual light output and how it looks in the day. I would think that they wouldn't be all that great since there really isn't anything to project the light, but I've been wrong before.

There's really not much to it. The strips come with two wires, black and red. Just splice them into the hot and ground wires for the reverse light blub socket. Peal the backing off the LED strip and stick. Here's the ones I was using...

Yea I was mainly curious about a daytime pic if you have one. Just wondering how visible it is during the day

You can get better deals than that, look around. A guy in town by me has like a 24in strip for 15 bucks I think. You can cut them every 2 LED's and they still work. Pretty cool setup.

I'll take a daytime pic tomorrow.

I know theres better deals - I bought them on a whim one day and was happy how it turned out.
