Hey guys. I am going to repaint my entire car next year after winter. Right now its the metallic blue, although it has seen better days.
However I have parts that are the metallic pewter from my old car that I will be putting onto it. They include a ram air hood and a rear hatch (the one on the car now has a crack across the glass) and the lamp covers and front bumper.
I really like both colors tbh, but am undecided on which way I should go with the repaint. Although the blue does show dirt a lot more than the pewter did, so I have to wash it more. I heard painting a dark color into a lighter one is a bit more difficult/work, but I will be saving up all winter for this.
If I decide to paint the entire car Pewter, I can basically swap over parts from my old car that include front bumper, fenders, hood, light covers, rear bumper, 1 door and the rear hatch, which leaves the hoop(roof), 1 door and rear quarter panels to be repainted as well as some touch-up on the transferred parts.
If I decide to paint the car blue, that leaves just the hood, hatch and a couple of light covers. But the rest of the paint on the body isn't all that great so it needs a good once over.
Thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!
