  • to dye (paint) or not to?????

    i just got me the dual gauge pod, its black and my inter is dark grey, maybe not noticeable maybe it would be, a friend said not to worry but figured i put this up, should i dye the post and pod together to mach or not worry incase in messes it all up so nothing matches, not sure what grey i have i just know its dark.??? thanks.

      i looked at like SEM but not sure of actual color. just dark grey. what site should i look at for the paint? or just go to like advanced auto?

        I'd just get it close. I have a can at the shop that matches the grey interior

          I don't think you can dye a lighter color very easy. I know you can dye a darker color without any issues.
          I have used the plastic paint from Duplicolor without any problems and it seems to hold up well.
          Make sure you clean it good before painting it.

            Dye is usually good for stuff that you don't touch often, ie: door panels etc. But something like that you should be fine.

              well i got the grey like rubber bumpr paint as close as i could get, wet was a little shiney but still dark grey, maybe after it has dried in the plastic a little bit might look like it belongs, if not still grey instead of black,

                went out this morning and it looks real good. othere than the texture the color is good. i think it will look nice in there. thanks. ill post some pics later.
