Just tinted the WS6 all around!

okay guys, my badddddddd. someone on woodward who had just got his car tinted all the way round told me that 35% was legal a couple of nights ago. thats why i thought it was. i understand why they dont want you to have tint, but at the same time, its dumb that you're not allowed to do your windshield and front windows because it looks so badass, especially on that Ws6.

Heres how michigans law breaks down:

from the b-pillar back, you can have any shade of window tint you want. Hell, paint it black, it doesn't matter.
On the front two doors, you can have 4" from the top tinted. That is 4" horizontally, NOT 4" following the contour of the window.
On the windshield, you can have it tinted down to the as1 line, or 4" from the top, whichever is HIGHER.

35% is NOT legal in MI. NOTHING is legal when fully tinting the two front doors or the windshield. However, I do them all day long, with only a very small percentage ever having problems.

I always recommend 35 or 50% on the doors/windshield, and get maybe 1 out of 20 come back because they get pulled over for it.

I only use one, professional line of film. I don't nickel and dime my customers by trying to upsell everyone to a different film.

my shop is conveniently located at i-94 and hall road, so it is easily accessible from the west(birmingham, waterford, etc along 59) and the south/west (taylor, novi, canton, etc via i-94)
