                        I'm not offended at all they cost me $20 to have coated and the surface (aluminum) was never smoothed out so that probably is why they aren't perfectly smooth but they really look much better in person the light reflecting off of them isn't doing them justice.

                              there is the chrome powdercoating you can get too which should be cheaper than true chrome. I might be doing mine with that for my ls1 rebuild
