  • Started a little project

As some of you may know, I have my coil packs relocated under the cowling. Therefor I have no use for the mounts on the valve covers for the coil pack brackets. I have hated the look forever.. I bought a used set of valve covers and am going to remedy the situation. I started on them this morning.. Made some progress.. Now I need some JB weld to fill the holes and start sanding with a finer grit. Undecided between powder coating or just have them painted and cleared since my car is at the paint shop anyway.. here's a before and after pic(s)..

    BEFORE:

    AFTER:

PS: Don't tell my wife I had them on her table..lol

i dont mean to be a dick or step on anyones toes so im sorry. and im not trying to bash you or anything. so again im sorry but the finish on those dont look so good. it just looks really bumpily to me personally. ive always seen and thought powder coat was supposed to be nice and smooth. so to me it looks like either bad prep of the product ahead of time or bad laying of the powder coating. just my two pennies.

Larry looks good man. cant wait to see them in person

Look great Larry! I'd need to see a current engine shot but I'd have them air brushed with the American flag to go with your theme. Not some crappy 2D flag. Something that really pops and is 3D.

This is pretty much what it looks like.. But man, that would cost a small fortune to have them painted like that.. I like the idea but unless I start selling crack I don't think I could afford it.. The motor will not look like this in the spring..(that's all I will say for now)(haven't worked out my final plan yet)
