The chrome was pitting on my Z06 rims so I painted the insides black like 35th rims... looks 100x better IMHO

Personally I would paint your's to look the the 35th anny SS's and forget trying to achieve the machined aluminum face. Just leave them silver on the face and paint the edges going back, black. It will be fast and much cheaper. Plus I don't think an all black wheel will look good on your car.

I just remembered this car as I was trying to imagine your wheels being black. Try to ignore the distraction here. haha. But I think they work successfully only because he has quite a few other black elements on the car...
I stripped a set that was paint black over the factory paint, wasn't bad at all

I have never seen black wheels that I liked.

the black rims have to be done cleanly in order for it to look good.....ive seen some half ass jobs that turned out like crap because they rushed it and didnt put some time into it.

there was someone on here maybe 2 months ago that was looking to trade black ss wheels for stockers...might be something to look up in the mifbody want ads.

I really like the ten spoke rims just the way they are. But if your set on black i'm sure they can be painted rather easily. Good luck.
