  • Getting some more spraypaint. . .

Alright, I was unloading the truck at work, and I noticed that we carry a extreme high-temp spraypaint, and it's orange. . . It will withstand temps of up to 1,200*F, and I'm gonna paint some stuff soon. I'm gonna clean up, paint, and clear all kinds of engine, exhaust, intake, and brake parts. . . Including Manifolds, engine bay, brake calipers, alternator, battery cover, and pretty much anything else I can point a spray can at. . . Just thought I'd give you all a heads-up! Pics are next. . .

It's gonna be pretty awesome. . . I'm just gonna go nuts in the engine bay with it. . . It won't quite match the exterior, but I think it will look pretty awesome nonetheless. It's a little darker than the orange on my car currently.

Well, your's matches the exterior, mine won't. . . It will be quite a few shades off, but I think it will look better than it does now. Probably prevent rust, too.

Hey Nick, if I were to buy another 3800 II just to pull parts off of an dress up for my current motor do you think your dad would let me store it at your new barn?

yeah, probably just hangs in a fancy trailer with filters to keep dust out of the air with climate control and all that good stuff.

Well, maybe not spraypaint. . . New paint job is coming (hopefully) the weekend before the meet and greet. . . New hood should be done this Friday, and the car should be completely fixed as far as dents, rust, and any other blemishes, and in primer by a week from this Saturday. Awesome, eh?

So have you started on the hood yet? Kind of interested in how that's going.

Getting started on the body work Wednesday, primer the whole car by 1 week from Sat. (hopefully), my new hood should be done and in prime by late next week if I can get ahold of a new hood, I'm only looking to spend like $20 for a stock hood from a 93-97 maro to bond the fiberglass peice to. Paint should be done in about a month.

                          Good luck making that deadline.

If you're going to take your time and do it to the best of your abilities it will take a bit longer then that.

yeah, what he said, it takes me about 3 hours to wash my car, so if i were to do body work on it, a little ding would probably take me a day, just because i want it to look real good, and if you do it all that fast, you probably won't be pleased. But if your dads doing it then that is a different story
