Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

UPDATE: It's been awhile since this thread but thought i would give you guys an update. I bought an ss hood from Tonic, a ss spoiler from Ebay, and next week is my layoff week so i figured what better time to paint a car. I also got my quote for materials from finishmaster and came out to just under 1200 for 3 quarts of cobalt metalic blue at 160 a quart, a gallon of PPG DCU 2002 high solids poly clear a quart of reducer and a pt of hardner to go with it. So hopefully next week i'll be painting, i'm thinking this weekend and some of next week will be used to sand the car down and fix the dings in the car. I am also shaving the antenna of the car due to the fact that i don't get very good reception and i don't really ever enjoy listening to the overplayed songs on the radio.
So i'm hoping that this is how it goes down.
Saturday and Sunday: Wetsand entire car with 400 gritt
Monday: patch up hole for antenna and start fixing dings
Tuesday: continue body work
Wednesday : Finish Body Work/ Prime
Thursday: Paint car
Friday: Drink Beer
Saturday: Assemble and polish car
Sunday: Sleep
Your alot more energetic than I am, My car is in the body shop getting all the dings and rust taken care of. It went in last Tuesday and I should have it back next Tuesday. I'll post some pictures when it comes home.
well it's not so much energetic as much as it is the car was totaled before so any damage that's on the car now isn't even going to come close to what it was like. This is still an estimated time frame and as we all knokw car projects never go as expected. I'll try to keep this updated but sometimes i have a hard time stoping to take pictures.

Well up to this point the car is just about completely wet-sanded. The hood needs to be patched up a little bit. The antenna has been shaved off, and i just spent about 1200 on paint today. I can not wait to paint my car and then never drive it to school or work again. Well more pics are to come but hopefully these will tide you over.

Update: Well just as i suspected there has been some delays. I had to attend an open house for my little cousin, and then i went down and helped do some landscapping for my grandpa, so two days were ate up. Then me and my dad did not like the way that the ss spoiler looked as is so we modified the rear quarters and spoiler in order to have a nice curve to them. I am getting really excited to get the car done, i miss driving it and i know it's going to look great. Well wish me some luck i'm hoping to have most of it painted by tomorow and then be able to start assembling the car back together in the following days.
The ss hood i think is going to turn out great, but i'm having a hard time locating a grille for the hood so i might be missing one when i drive it but i'm hoping to win one in an auction soon enough. Well just thought i would update you guys. Sorry no pictures, but i might have some of it in primer tonight. Thanks

Well today we got a lot done. All of the body is painted just need to still paint the mirrors, the spoiler, the rear filler piece and the hood. Here are some pics of the car as she sits now, hopefully i will be able to at least start piecing that part of the car back together while we are painting the rest of it.
Well onto the pics.
