Well after driving my car for around 2-3 years straight my car has had some run in's with A-holes. First off about a year ago i came out of school to see a blazer parked on top of my front bumper. 2nd after giving my car a good wash one day i noticed the rear bumper has spider cracks from someone backing into it. 3rd I live where semi trucks are very prominent and there are many gravel pits around me, so to say the least the car has some stone chips.

Well I will be graduating from college May 11th with my degree in mechanical engineering and my present to myself is to repaint my car along with some additions. I am looking for some suggestions to do to the car as of right now these are some things on the list:

    Shave Radio Antenna clean off
Replace front and rear window seals
    Buy SS spoiler
    Buy SS hood/Cowl hood
Debating removing front grill and patching the grill holes
Also thought about doing a graphics kit of some sort, I was thinking silver in color.

Well let me know if you guys have some cool suggestions. I will be painting the car the same color the only thing that's going to change is that i will be using some mucho expensive clear coat this time in hopes to avoid stone chips. My dad has it on his buick and the stuff it working amaizingly. Well again if you guys have any suggestions except for painting it pink (sue me but i think the whole metrosexual thing is kind of stupid). Again i know i can count on you guys for some great ideas.

Wide body kit would be the tits, Rolo. I've always wanted to do that if I get my car painted...

That said, as long as you meant stripes as the "graphics" that's cool then... just don't do the gawdy tribal stuff.

I think it would be kind of cool to put the optioned GFX on and do an ss spoiler but leave the hood stock.

Yeah I was never a fan of that car either. Get a billet grille (overdone but would break up the blue on your car) Spoiler and Hood sound good. Hockey stripes along the side?

1st. Congrats on finishing up college! I'm hoping to buy another fbody shortly after I'm done as my present to myself.

2nd. Do what you want, I'm sure it will come out kick ass like your car is already.

That'd be Whistler's old car. The guy who invented the "Whistler headlight mod" and also did a TARGA top conversion. Not to mention he smoothed out his ground effects (amongst other body lines) right into the bumper.

Well now i like the sound of the ss spoiler and the gfx but then my car would ride to low for the roads around here. As far as gfx i was kind of looking at the 35th anniversary graphics in silver or a stripe package of some sort.

UPDATE: It's been awhile since this thread but thought i would give you guys an update. I bought an ss hood from Tonic, a ss spoiler from Ebay, and next week is my layoff week so i figured what better time to paint a car. I also got my quote for materials from finishmaster and came out to just under 1200 for 3 quarts of cobalt metalic blue at 160 a quart, a gallon of PPG DCU 2002 high solids poly clear a quart of reducer and a pt of hardner to go with it. So hopefully next week i'll be painting, i'm thinking this weekend and some of next week will be used to sand the car down and fix the dings in the car. I am also shaving the antenna of the car due to the fact that i don't get very good reception and i don't really ever enjoy listening to the overplayed songs on the radio.

So i'm hoping that this is how it goes down.

Saturday and Sunday: Wetsand entire car with 400 gritt
Monday: patch up hole for antenna and start fixing dings
                              Tuesday: continue body work
Wednesday : Finish Body Work/ Prime
                              Thursday: Paint car
                              Friday: Drink Beer
                              Saturday: Assemble and polish car
                              Sunday: Sleep
