You have to go to the optomologist (sp) to get your eye exam, complain about light sensitivity, if you get the doc to write you a note make sure they date it and put detail in it that states the driver needs this to operate the vehicle due to light sensitivity. Then i think you take the note to the SOS and they have paperwork you fill out, i don't remember all the exact steps, i've had mine for a long time now.

Hrm, I have to go to the eye doctor, maybe I'll jump thru the hoops while I'm there. If you have the note you can tint your windshield as well right?

Looks great I would love to tint the front windows of my car (if I EVER get it back). I wouldnt mind a small write up if you have time, I have heard its hard to get it to come out right but yours looks amazing...

I'll have check out that site. I have the receipt from the previous owner 219.00 for the fronts and rear. somewhere in rochester I believe.

Its been a while, If you have curved surfaces to tint you use a hair dryer to get it into shape so it doesn't crease. spray mist the window with water to keep it from sticking until you squigie(?) the water out.

I've had two officers to my car and niether made any mention of the tint.

ive been rolling around with 15% tint on my side windows for a while now (on my truck). only been stopped for it once because a cop saw me leaving a bar and wanted to make sure i wasnt drunk. he told me it was his excuse to pull me over and gave me a verbal warning, reminding me of the law.

the other thing you have to keep in mind is that vehicles are profiled. cops dont seem to give a hoot about my truck being tinted because someone driving a pickup truck isnt likely to be making drug runs or have a young punk with an attitude behind the wheel. f-body is a different story.

I had a buddy in high school with double limo all around on a minivan and limo on the windshield. Cops never even looked at him.

Yeah, I guess it can cause extra harassment.

I dont think I'll go too dark around the side windows, my Camaro wasnt crazy, but it was dark, and I never got pulled over for it on that car...

My rear window and quarter windows, though...limo.

I got mine done in GR and it only cost me $120 with a lifetime warranty. The side windows only cost $10 each, so for that price I let someone else do it. For me, having side tint isn't an issue because I have the windows down 90% of the time I'm in the car.

You should be fine...I have yet to hear a cop say anything to me about my tint around here.

I envy all of you guys who get away with it. Limo on the back, 35% tint on the sides. Didn't even last one month before I got pulled over and had to pull the tint off.

I'm planning on doing mine soon, 35% back and sides, avoid getting hastled as much as possible.

ive had 5% back and 19% sides for probably close to 3 years now. used to get stopped all the time when the car looked like it was just some young kids car and now i don;t even get looked at in that but then again most times i drive it the windows are down. ... had the truck tinted at 15% all the way around and never even been looked at yet. however in my jetta i had 20% all around and used to get pulled over all the time in it but never got tickets just warnings. its all about the vehicle your in and how you drive it,.

I suggest, if you see a cop, just roll your windows down before he notices, then everything should be fine.

i probably have some of the darkest windows on this site, having a black car makes them look darker, i have 5% on everything but the windshield is 35%, the cops dont mess with me anymore
