personally i think you should take that bra off and fix all those paint chips, and leave the bra off. Just my opinion though, you always have these ideas but you never do any of them. If i were you just screw wasting paint on the hood and fix whats already wrong with it.

I'm with thursday. Do you have the paint code for the orange? If you do go get that mixed and have your dad touch up the front. Then you can get rid of that thing, (no more zorro) FIX THAT FIRST. THEN move to a BAMF hood. If I were you i would invest in a cowl hood later. Or like this car.......

Personally i think thats the hottest hood for a camaro. Other then the SS hoods. I would go for this one first.

Well, as i have said about a million times before, I have a new paint job coming. I want to get all of the body and custom work out of the way first, because the paint is going to be custom mixed. I don't have any kind of codes for this paint, but the previous owner has some leftover from the paintjob, hopefully it's going to be enough to have computer matched if I decide to not paint the whole car over again. As far as the ideas that never happen, I haven't been able to do anything to my car lately, it's coming to the end of my senior year in HS, and with scholarship stuff, applications, college visits, and work, I have no time to do anything. I don't mind driving my car around looking like crap for a little while, so I'm just going to use the hood I have. Thanks for your input, I'll keep all of your points in mind when I make my decision.

it is like welding plastic to steel.. it will last about 2 years then crack.. what you need to do, is drop like 255 bucks on a fiberglass liftoff hood. then mold the nostrils into it. but good i dea with getting all the body work done first then paint.. words of wisdom were always taken to heart.. paint is the last thing you do.

I don't know, I think it will work quite well. I'll probably have a new hood by the time it begins to crack anyways.

well the reason it will crack over a short period of time is because fiberglass is made to flex with changing conditions.. steel doesn't have such a good time doing this.so you will have the fiberglass flexing on a surfcae not designed to flex.. chances are youll be driving down the road one day and poof. like a pair of t-tops that aren't latched right.. you have no more nostrils..

Man, if you put this thought into some real mods instead of jewin' around with these crazy discount-free-uber mods, you'd have a hell of a car!

I think it'd be a waste of time dude, fiberglass hoods for a 4th gen are a dime-a-dozen. You could find a professionally done one for extremly cheap that would look just like what you're trying to accomplish.

I'm gonna do that, now that I have a job, and I still live with my parents, all of my money is going to be divided between my college fund and mods! (More $$$ for mods, of course! lol) My first check is already spent! lol I'm gonna save up for the paint, which is going to be expensive considering I have to have it color-matched, and then I'm getting some headlight covers and a can of Nightshades spray tint. . . I'm gonna be big pimpin'! lol
